A 26 year old man has been charged with aggravated burglary following an incident in Newey Avenue, Bedworth in the early hours of yesterday morning, Monday September 14.

Police were called at about 01.45hrs when it was discovered that the house had been entered and a laptop computer and television had been stolen.

A man had been seen acting suspiciously in the area and was arrested nearby.

Last night detectives charged Christopher Boyd of Market End Close, Bedworth with the offence. He was released on conditional bail and will appear before magistrates in Nuneaton on September 24.
