Car collides with people, Nuneaton

Police are investigating an incident that occurred at a quarter past midnight on Saturday morning, 19 September in Plough Hill Road, Nuneaton.

Four men, in their late teens were walking along Plough Hill Road, in the direction of Galley Common near to the school when an old style white Corsa is believed to have mounted the kerb and collided with one of the men.

The man was taken by ambulance to George Elliot Hospital where his injuries were confirmed as a broken leg, bruising and swelling above his eye, and grazing to his elbow.

The Police are treating this as a deliberate action by the driver which has resulted in a serious assault and are appealing for witnesses to come forward who can help them identify the offenders involved and the old style white Vauxhall Corsa.

DC Jeni-Leigh Fallen who is leading the investigation said "The car will have sustained some front end damage during the collision and we are asking the public for their help in locating this vehicle. We are also asking garages to contact us if a vehicle matching this description is brought in for repair.

"The white Corsa contained two men in the front and two women in the back - if this was you in the vehicle, please call us as soon as possible."
