Incident 60, September 15

A number of vehicles have been involved in a collision on the M6 this morning, Tuesday September 15.

The collision occurred on the southbound carriageway between junctions 2 and 3 and was reported shortly after 07:45hrs.

Early indications are that up to six vehicles are involved, one of which is a lorry.

Police and other emergency services are still at the scene and the motorway has been closed in both directions to allow the air ambulance to land.

Long delays are expected and motorists are advised to find alternative routes.
