Incident 60, September 15

A 33 year old woman suffered serious head injuries when the car she was driving was involved in a collision with five other vehicles on the M6 motorway this morning, Tuesday September 15.

The collision occurred shortly after 7.45hrs on the south bound carriageway between junctions 2 and 3 and involved a white Mercedes box van, a silver Renault Clio, a grey Ford Focus, a green Ford Focus, a red Mini and a silver Vauxhall Vectra.

The injured woman was taken to the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire by land ambulance.

Four other people were taken to the same hospital with minor injuries and another two treated and discharged at the scene.

Police investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or saw any of the vehicles before the collision occurred.
