Arrest Follows Burglary At Aldi, Rugby

Following a report of a burglary at the Aldi Supermarket on Central Park Drive in Rugby at shortly before 2.30am on Wednesday 1 September police attended the premises and found the store had been entered after a rear door had been forced.

Shortly afterwards police stopped a silver Peugeot 306 car near by which contained a number of electrical items including televisions and laptop computers which are believed to have been stolen from the Aldi store.

The 37 year old driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

He was questioned by police at Rugby and later released on police bailed pending further police enquiries.
