Do You Recognise This Coat Worn In Nuneaton Robbery

Inc 259 Friday 9 November

Police in Nuneaton have issued CCTV images of two people they would like to trace following a robbery at the Shivom Newsagents in Vernons Lane, Nuneaton in November 2011 in which staff were threatened with a large knife.

A quantity of money, cigarettes and alcohol was stolen.

One of the people they would like to trace, following the incident which took place at shortly after 6pm on Friday 9 November was wearing a distinctive dark coat, with a lighter motif on the front and rear bearing the figure “3”, believed to be a Timberland motif. (see images attached).

The second male is described as being approximately 6feet 4 inches tall with a pale green coat. Both were wearing masks to cover their faces.

“The dark coloured coat with what is believed to be a motif on the front and the back, is very distinctive and we would like people to think if they know of anyone who owns a similar coat.

“The second male, who is taller than average at 6feet 4inches tall, was wearing a long hooded coat in pale green or grey colour.”

Anyone who has any information about the robbery, or who recognises the distinctive coats worn by the two is asked to contact DC Dave King at the Nuneaton Local investigation team on 02476 641111 x 3174 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 where the information can be given anonymously.
