Four arrested following Nuneaton robberies

Incident 186 of 28 December 2013

Officers arrested four males aged 13, 14, 15 and 16 from Birmingham on suspicion of a series of street robberies that occurred in the Riversley Park area of Nuneaton town centre at around 5:30pm - 6:00pm on Saturday 28 December 2013.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the robberies as they occurred at a time in Nuneaton when there were lots of people around.

DC 1990 Jim Middleton said “We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed any of these incidents, or who can offer any information about who may be involved in these incidents. We believe there may be other suspects involved in these offences and would like to identify those responsible.”

During the incidents, mobile phones, cash and other items are believed to have been stolen from teenagers.

No-one was injured during these incidents.

Shortly after 6pm, the four suspects were arrested at Nuneaton railway station. They were questioned at Nuneaton Police Station and have since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
