Police are appealing for information about a man who has been missing from a care home in Northampton since Saturday evening (21 August).
Rex Walsh, aged 69, was reported missing from St Matthew's Care Home in St Matthew's Parade, Northampton where he is a resident.
He was last seen boarding the 10.56pm Birmingham train at Northampton station on Saturday night.
He had expressed his intention of travelling to Birmingham but we cannot be sure that was his destination - he may have got off the train at any of the stations en route.
We are concerned about Mr Walsh's welfare as he has dementia and requires medication - without it, the risk of him coming to harm, or harming someone else, increases. He can become aggressive if confronted.
We believe he may be travelling to Birmingham to see his his former wife although she no longer lives there.
Mr Walsh is 5ft 7ins tall, balding, with some short grey hair. He has blue eyes and a ruddy complexion.
When he was last seen he was wearing a pale green top, no jacket, dark trousers and black shoes. He had no other possessions with him.
Anyone with information as to Mr Walsh’s whereabouts should contact Det Insp Andy Glenn at Northamptonshire Police on 03000 111 222.
