Police appeal for witnesses to fire attack on house in Wood End, Atherstone

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident in Wood End, Atherstone at around 8pm on Friday 22 November in which flammable liquid was thrown at a house in Edge Hill.

A glass jar containing flammable liquid and a rag landed on the porch of the semi detached property. No one was in the house at the time and the flames were extinguished by a neighour before the fire service arrived.

The flames caused a small amount of damage to the paint work and the guttering on the porch of the property.

Police are treating the incident as arson and would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in or around Edge Hill in Wood End on Friday evening (22 November) around 8pm, or anyone who has any information about the incident.
