Detective appeals for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Leamington

DC Alexandra Peel would like to hear from anyone who witnessed an assault that happened in Leamington on Monday.
At approximately 3 am on February 15, a 25 year old Asian man was attacked on Sydenham Drive.
The victim who lives locally, was walking home from a night out in the town when he was approached by the offender who attacked him.
The victim received abrasions all over his body and is expected to seek medical help for his wounds.
Speaking about the assault, the investigating officer DC Peel said: "This was an unprovoked assault on a man who was walking home. During the incident both the victim and the offender fell to the ground and the victim was viciously attacked. Someone may have seen this or heard the shouts from the victim.
"If anyone did witness this incident, I would appreciate them calling me at Leamington police station on 01926 415000, voicemail 11667."
