Witness sought to affray in Leamington

PC Ian Masters is appealing for any witnesses to an affray in Leamington to contact him.

He would particularly like to speak to a woman who contacted police at the time of the incident and he would appreciate this lady calling him.

The affray happened at approximately 1.15 pm on Tuesday February 23, when a group of men were reported to be fighting in Swadling Street near to the junction with Lee Road Leamington.

During the incident, a middle aged man was assaulted and was treated for injuries to his nose. A further man received injuries to his face and a wound to his lower chest. A third man was cut on his mouth.

Four men, all believed to be in their early 20's and a fifth middle aged man were arrested at 1.30 pm on February 23 on suspicion of affray and were taken to Leamington Police station.

All five are currently on bail to reattend Leamington Police station in March 2010.
