Police appeal following aggravated burglary at Leamington social club

Police in Leamington are investigating an aggravated burglary which occurred at the Lillington Club in Lime Avenue, Leamington Spa yesterday evening, Thursday February 25, and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

At about 17.45hrs officers were called to the premises where it was reported that two males had threatened a man with a screwdriver and forced him to hand over cash from the safe.

The two males then made off with the cash in a black rucksack. No-one was injured.

One offender is described as a white male, 5'7" - 5'8" tall, medium build with hazel brown eyes. He was wearing a black or dark blue hoody with dark jeans and had a scarf over his face. The second offender was slightly taller but there are no other details about him.

Sgt Jonathan Belcher would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information which would help with inquiries.
