Appeal for witnesses following collision in Avenue Road, Leamington
Incident 262, August 29
Police are investigating a collision in Avenue Road, Leamington on Sunday afternoon (August 29) and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The collision occurred at about 15.35hrs and involved a white Vauxhall Corsa which was travelling from the direction of Adelaide Road towards Princes Drive, and a blue Fiat Stilo which was travelling in the opposite direction.
A six year old girl, who was a rear seat passenger in the Corsa, suffered a broken nose and facial cuts and was taken to Warwick Hospital for treatment.
The male driver and a seven year old boy from the same vehicle suffered whiplash injuries and were also taken to Warwick Hospital for treatment.
The male driver and female passenger from the Fiat were treated by ambulance crews at the scene.
Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or saw either of the vehicles before the collision occurred, particularly any pedestrians who might have been in Victoria Park at the time.
