Appeal For Witnesses to Violent Assault, Leamington

Police are appealing for witnesses to a violent assault which took place in Buckley Road, Leamington at shortly before midnight on Sunday 29 August.

A 23 year old male was attacked by an unknown male who hit him around the head in what is described as an unprovoked attack.

His attacker is described as being a white male aged in his early 20s, approximately six feet tall with short brown hair. He was dressed in a blue V-necked long sleeved top with a white top underneath and dark coloured jeans.

He was also carrying something similar to a belt or a dog lead which was used in the attack on the 23 year old male.

The injured man, who ran to a nearby house for safety, attended Warwick Hospital where he received treatment for facial injuries.
