Search for missing man continues

Police are contuining their search for a 77 year old man from Wolston who has not been seen since Thursday, March 28.

George Summerfield, of Meadow Road, Wolston was reported missing on Saturday (March 31). He was last seen in the village on Thursday lunch time.

House to house enquiries have been conducted and officers have visited establishments which Mr Summerfield is known to frequent, as well as a search of local woodland and open areas.

Members of the community have also assisted with the search, and a number of posters have been displayed locally.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw Mr Summerfield on Thursday afternoon or has any reason to believe there was anything unusual in his behaviour recently.

Mr Summerfield is described as a white male , 5' 10" tall, and of medium build. He has a bald head apart from long, lank grey/black hair down the sides.

He is thought to be wearing a dark anorak type jacket and usually wears a green checked flat cap.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 999 immediately, but anyone who has information about him or his whereabouts is asked to contact Warwickshire Police on 101 or 01926 415000.
