Staff threatened during robbery at Co-op in Main Street, Newbold, Rugby
Incident 405, March 28
A member of staff was threatened by two men who carried out a robbery at the Co-operative food store in Main Street, Newbold last night, Wednesday March 28.
The offenders entered the store shortly before 22.00hrs. One grabbed a member of staff and pushed her out of the door whilst the other staff members were pushed to the back of the shop.
No one was injured.
The two offenders made off on foot in the direction of Parkfield Road with a quantity of cash and bottles of spirits and champagne.
They are described as stockily built Asian males, approximately 6' tall and wearing hoodies. One was also wearing a face covering.
Police investigating this incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in or near the store, or has any information which would help them with their enquiries.
Officers are studying CCTV footage and conducting house to house enquiries.
