An elderly woman had her handbag stolen by two males who approached her from behind as she walked along Greenmoor Road, in Nuneaton yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 29 Aug) at just after 4pm.
The men ran off down an alleyway leading to Aviemore Close after snatching the bag. Three local youths who heard the elderly woman shouting, gave chase and saw the two men getting into a red car, possibly a Ford escort.
The woman was not injured but was shocked by the incident.
The two thieves are described as being white males, aged 17- 18 years, one with a skin head haircut and the other was wearing a hoody with the hood covering his head.
The purse contained a small amount of cash and a pension card.
